WELCOME TO SEND@HEART

You see your child in a way the world often doesn’t. You notice the small signs, the quiet struggles and the moments that go unseen. And sometimes, that love comes with a weight...the worry that you’re missing something, the second-guessing and the fear of getting it wrong.

SEND at Heart is here for that.

Rooted in nearly four decades of experience in education and inclusion, we walk alongside you, helping you make sense of the system, trust your instincts and advocate with confidence. Support that sees you, hears you and meets you exactly where you are.

Every parent deserves a path that feels honest, clear and empowering

Some days feel overwhelming.

Your child keeps it together at school but unravels at home, leaving you drained and questioning yourself.

Forms, meetings, and endless acronyms pile up, and finding the right words in the moment can feel impossible.

It can feel lonely, like no one truly sees what you’re navigating.

Here’s how we support you:

  • Help you understand your child’s unique needs and strengths.

  • Guide you in communicating clearly and effectively with schools and professionals.

  • Provide steady, practical support so you can navigate each step without losing yourself.

  • Help you find and access the right support, from early identification to the EHCP process and beyond.

What Makes Us Different?

Most support is rooted in procedure and process. At SEND at Heart, we lead with compassion. We meet you where you are, honouring the love, worry and hope that come with parenting a child with additional needs.

  • We hold the emotional journey with you, not just the paperwork.

  • We give guidance that is honest, gentle and grounded in real experience.

  • We help you navigate uncertainty without pressure or judgment.

  • We create a space where your questions are heard, your concerns are respected and your decisions are supported.

Frequently asked questions

What is the role of the school in this process?

The school plays an important part in identifying and supporting your child’s needs. SEND at Heart helps you understand how to work closely with the school to ensure everyone is aligned. By collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals, we’ll make sure the right steps are taken to support your child’s growth.

What if I’m not sure whether my child has SEND?

That’s exactly what we’ll explore together. We’ll guide you through the steps of identifying and seeking appropriate support, from discussing concerns with the school to seeking professional assessments and working towards an application for an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), if that is necessary.

How can I work with the school to get the best support for my child?

We’ll equip you with the tools to have productive conversations with your child’s school. Our communication templates and consultations will help you understand how to approach the school in a collaborative, solution-focused way. Together, we’ll make sure the school is clear on your child’s needs and the support they need to help them thrive.

What if the school is already offering some support?

That’s great! SEND at Heart will advise on the support already in place, ensuring it’s the right fit for your child. We’ll guide you on how to assess and adapt the support to make sure your child’s needs are fully met, ensuring that the right professionals are involved.
